I'm having trouble with some questions.. and we haven't used the book for the class all year long so anyone who's good at this will benefit -_-

An example of a question:

A seggi disc lowered to a depth of 26 meters in a body of water that's depth is 48 meters.. is there photosynthesis at the bottom?

Latest Question:

Do fish swim faster in cold or warm water? or equal?

That's what I was wondering.

Anyway, it also depends on what color of light is used for photosynthesis (which I don't remember off the top of my head). Water, fresh or otherwise, works like a filter - the different colors fade away as you go deeper.

I don't know, this is a simple Oceanography course, not something advanced.

without looking it up, I believe fish swim fastest in moderate water temperatures. IIRC, fish start to slow down again when water gets a little too warm.
