I'm looking for a small portable mp3 player that I can use to listen to music while I run. I want it to be light so that rules out the ones that play mp3 cds. I'd like to get something that resembles those old Diamond Rio ones. However, a lot of different ones have came out and I don't know which ones are good. Does anyone have any suggestions. I don't want to spend a lot of money on one of these since it will see limited use, but I don't want a piece of junk either.

Hmm....

I've got one of those old Diamond Rios (the original).

What'd be prime is if you could score one of the old models as new old stock.

Most resellers have access to them. ASI used to sell them and likely overstocked as they always do. See if you can have one ordered at a local mom and pop shop.

Ok, I'll look into that. Is the original Diamond Rio considered the best?

My Creative Nomad II is OK, although lately I have been having problems with it. I think the one from Intel is supposed to be pretty good...
