I also hate exercise. In fact, the only exercise i enjoy is taking a long walk in a scenic area but I'm not really counting that.

I hate cardio the most because it's repetitive and it can actually result in sore knees/legs for me plus sore muscles a day or two later. What i try and do is drag my son out to do something, like play a soccer game against him. At least that way I'm doing something somewhat interesting rather than just looking at a treadmill.

At the moment, it's really more of an obsessive habit than anything, and a non-destructive way to vent frustration.

great thing is, with proper diet, you really don't have to do cardio!
