Anyone here investing their money in stocks ?

I'm new to this and I plan to invest my money in the market. I've read around and it's quite a good time to buy. Any suggestions ? I have about 5k to invest. Not that much to start out. Any AT members doing this ? Advise needed.

I buy stocks through my company. The stock I'm buying is really cheap right now but very stable. It's about as low as it should get. Might take a while to go up, though.

well it is illegal to post messages online to encourage people to buy stocks. (it can influence the market and make you money) I own shares in 3 company's. oracle, qwuest, and amd. all of mine have ahve made me some monay but my AMD has made me a lot since I bout it right when the K7 core came out and there stock just skyrocketed. I would talk to a broker and see what tech stocks are looking good to buy right now. by no means am i trying to encourage you to buy any of the stock that I just listed.

The only stock I own is Qualcomm stock. I bought 1,000 shares at 6.00 a piece couple years ago and sold 100 shares at the end of 1999 when they went up to 760.00 before they split in four.
