anyone here into Plants?

i am looking for a database where I can download the actual database, not one where I can just search and get the information on specific plants. i am going to be incorporating this db into a project in the near future probably.

so anyone know of any? i searched google but the majority of the things I come up with are just for me to search on and not to actually download.

1) Find forum on plants (I'm surethere is plenty)
2) Request het holy grail of books on the subject
3) find book on EBay
4) ???
5) profit

i believe this forum is called "off topic" so i figured i would ask an off topic question in here.

You might have some luck with a university herbarium (example: http://oregonstate.edu/dept/botany/herbarium/ ) Some of them have databases available of the plants in their collections.
