anyone here into collecting football cards?

or any sports cards for that matter? i was hella into it when i was a little kid. i never had the $ for it though. now i have a good job that pays decent i can go out and spend a little cash on myself.

i enjoy going to sports card shops and buying a box of new stuff and opening them up and hoping for the top cards lol.

anyways, i bought a box of upper deck football 2002 today. it costed me $60.00.

i never got the card i wanted, but got two jersey cards. im not sure how much theyre worth. i bought an online subscription to beckett.com for like $3.99 for one month. pretty cool.

anyone else into collecting cards?

i used to. but then they came out with way too many different sets. it was too hard to follow. also, the price per pack became ridiculous. btw, how much is it per pack on average these days? back when i stopped collecting... it was about $2.50 - $3.00 a pack... for like upper deck or fleer ultra.

yeah i used to be really into that when I was a kid. I stopped now cuz I also couldn't keep track of all the packs coming out. I remember when it only used to be like 4-5 manufacturers. I started off collecting only baseball... and then moved on to basketball and football.

hehe it's been about 6 years now since I've stopped collecting... wonder if my collection is worth anything

I used to be. Dug them out years later, and it turned out I had some decent ones, like a Jerry Rice 49er's rookie card.
