I own several tents already. I have two ultra-light backpacking tents (a 1-person and a 2-person). I have a larger tent that I have been using for longer stationary camping trips, but I want to replace it.
We will be taking our dog with us this year (100lb german shepherd), so we have decided we want a floorless tent.
We will use cots instead of an air matress. This will be nice because it will lift us up off the ground.
The problem is that I can only find "canvas wall tents" to fit these requirements, which are really heavy, and you need to take really good care of them.
Do they make something like: http://montanacanvas.com/wall-tents.php, but with an affordable synthetic material?
Montana Canvas sells one made of "relite", but it costs a fortune ($1500).
Anyone have any experience with floorless tents? I can't find much about non-canvas ones on google.
