Anyone here in debt 6 figs?

Not including house no - only 5 figures 😉

In truth a better question is what is your networth and is your networth less than $100k? Because then anybody with a $200k mortgage on a $200k house has that portion of their networth even itself out.

So yeah my networth is HIGHER than minus 6 figures 😀

I'll be 6 figs in debt quite soon - buying a house. So far I barely am at 5 figs (wife + me both have student loans). No other debt at all though.

Don't think of a house as debt. Think of it as forced savings. You're simply converting cash into equity. So unless you get stuck in a collapsing market you should always come out ahead. Plus, lenders LOVE seeing a mortgage on your credit report.

My parents, who are quickly approaching 7 figures. Having half your house washed away by a flood tends to do that.

Including credit cards and student loans, I'm a bit above 10k or so in the hole. Not too too bad, considering I only have one year of undergrad left.

Holy crap, did they fish the parts out and have it reassembled? 😀 (around here decent homes are say 60-80k heh)

I have friends in the medical profession that are about $250K each just in school loans.

I am only about $40 total with school loans, credit card and such.
