I've been looking for a big case. Big hands dont do to well inside small puter cases. I found the InWin Maelstrom. I compared the dimension specs with other cases and is just as big as the HAF-X (at least on paper). The Maelstrom is also about $90 cheaper that I can spend on other "stuff" (better hsf for the cpu, etc).

As far looks go, I think is not the prettiest of cases. But I'm looking for size at a cost effective price :)

I also thought about the InWin Ironclad case. However, with shipping is almost $150.00

So, anyone here have the Maelstrom? And can you tell me the pro's and cons of the case?

Are you sure you want a Full Tower? Had one once, it was freakin huge and really totally unnecessary.

That soundproofing stuff is pretty pointless considering there's a big mesh grill on the side of the case.

That is quite possibly the ugliest case I have ever seen!

My god, I coudlnt' even look at the specs on that thing, I just wanted to get away from any thoughts of it as soon as possible.

What is with the color scheme on this case? I mean at least it is not biege, but seriously companies need to think about how this actually looks to 99% of the customers that buy a case.

Yes, I would like a full tower. Although, some mid tower sizes are just as big as far dimensions go. About 8 years ago I had an full tower Inwin and that thing was huge and freaking heavy (even when empty). I decided that my next personal build was going to have a mid tower. I've been using the Cooler Master Centurion (Great case for the price bty). I have actually built a few rigs using the CM Centurion. However, I do miss the extra room inside the case. I dont fiddle inside of the case often. But, when I do, I end up saying a bad word or two, lol. Just not enough room for the hardware and my big hands.

I have no idea. I dont even know what a maelstrom is, lol. And they put two green handle looking things on the front of it and a sticker on one of the handles that say "not to use as a handle, lol"

But like I said before, I'm looking for a fairly good size case at a cost effective price.

Since you are focused on cable management, I think the Corsair 600T will be right up your alley. Its not a full tower, but has a lot of room and can probably fit more stuff than many full towers.

I am waiting on its cousin the Obsidian 650D from Amazon, they are still out of stock...

I know what you mean about full towers, I have a rocketfish(made lian li) that I picked up from best buy when they stopped selling them.

if your willing to go for a little more cash, you can get some nice towers, like this fractal for $150 with free shipping:

and here is the same case in black

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811352005

and here is a lian li that most similar to what I have, the drive cage on mine is different

Well, some must like them enough to buy them. They both have an average 5/5 egg reviews.

Fail.

Yep, I've read some of the reviews in Newegg. Some people dont like the looks of it but like the size. Other reviewers say the pics dont do justice to the case. That it actually looks better than in the pictures.

Just like the saying "beauty is in the eye of the beholder." If I had to choose (money not being a factor) I would get the Obsidian 800D http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811139001

That thing is 24" x 9" x 24" more than enough room for anything and it has a nice clean look.
However, at $294 with shipping......it does not look so pretty anymore, lol
