Looking for a nice small cheap MP3 player for the gym. My Muvo is on its last legs.

I'm debating one of these Ipods b/c they look like theyd be easy to clip onto whatever im wearing.

Feedback please.

iPod suffle? It's supposed to be one of the best small size players on the market.

I just bought one 3 weeks ago to compliment my 60 GB ipod video (I use the shuffle at the gym and on my motorcycle). I think the ipod shuffle is fantastic.

I like it. You just have to accept the fact it has no screen, and it's purpose is to really just pick at random and play. A lot of people hate it for that.

It's also a little under powered in output I think.

Mmm...a souffle sounds delicious right about now :)

[Edit] Oh right. Replies are supposed to have worthwhile information in them...um...I don't own one but the few people I know who have them love them. Note that these are normal people who shop at Walmart and eat McDonald's.

If I didn't already have a Nano and did my running outdoors, I'd almost certainly buy one :)

I am going to be purchasing a few of these to give to my clients as a thank you gift. The green color compliments my company's colors fairly well. I'm glad to hear people here like them. I have had an iPod since the original 5GB, but I have never had a shuffle.

I just use a 1GB MuVo v100 that I got for $30. Works nicely and uses AAA batteries, so I never have to worry about forgetting to charge the little thing.

I have one. I think the sound output in terms of quality and volume is pretty good. Battery life is pretty good too, I don't charge it often, but have never had it die on me.

I like mine. If you take time to put together play lists on your computer (or just listen to random music) it's not an issue that there's no screen. It's great for the gym.

I have a 30 gig video for the car. I found out quickly that it didn't work well in the gym, so I bought a shuffle. It's been great so far. Very light and I love the clip. Don't miss not having a screen, because I'd never look at it anyway. Just filled it with good workout tunes.

love it.

There's the option of playing in order, so it's pretty easy to just take 10 cds with you and get to one in a few clicks.

- It's smaller/lighter than what you'd expect
- Clip works great.
- Attractive price (especially with those birthday g.c.'s)
- no real need for accessories (although be careful with the dock...the tip of the connector can come lose/break off...I just bought a new offbrand dock) is a *bit* of a common problem from what I've read.
- Good battery life
- Sound is more than acceptable...normally, I have a pair of sennheiser hd497 cans
- Get used to not having a screen very quckly

Can't really think of any cons...maybe they don't have your favorite color?

I have one and like it. Use it for mountain biking at night and during endurance races. Very small and light, easy to clip on a Camelbak strap and have the buttons available.
