Anyone here have sleep problems?

I've always had mild night terrors, some sleep walking, been violent upon waking up, etc, but now it's getting worse. They're extending later and later after I wake up, and becoming more severe when it happens.

I've been flailing around in bed, having weird dreams.

I'm starting to get concerned.

yes i should be in bed now but instead am buying headphones/posting on AT

edit: your stuff sounds way more serious though, maybe see a doctor/psychologist?

yea i'd get worried too. I when i was little would have nightmares everynight, i'd wake up to pass back and forth in my house and pull at my hair. I was taken to the doctor and (if i remeber correctly), they gave me these odd tasting drugs..

I lately have been having weird dreams, i can't sleep at night because of them...and i shake in my bed just as i'm about to sleep...

i had those night terrors and stuff for a while... i would wake up in a cold sweat and be pretty out of it an dnot know what was going on and i felt like i couldnt feel my skin and i would need a friend or family member to calm me down and eventually get me back to sleep.

it's common when you're going through stress or depression. there are meds out there that help reduce anxiety and make sleeping much easier.

Yea, but it's only because my job requires me to work until 2 am 4 nights of the week, while i have to get up around 6am on MWF 🙁 It Sucks!

Yeah, I get *violent* when I wake up. I've almost injured quite a few people.

Working 6am-3pm, then trying to come in at midnight probably isn't good. I work nights normally, and I think that's what's doing it. I'm seriously considering finding a day job where I have at least one regular day off per week. Now I work 7 days a week.

I think I have some kind of sleeping disorder, althought I haven't told anyone seriously about it. It's that I usually stay up late night, but recently what has started to happen is that I feel really sleepy while I am working late night, so sleepy that I can't keep my head up. As a result, I decide to go to sleep but when I am on the bed I don't feel sleepy at all. I just lay on the bed for at least an hour without a moment of sleep until I decide to stop wasting my time and get back to work, only to feel sleepy again when I start working. This has happened to me several times in last couple of months.

i have to get up by 5:30am for work

definitely a sleeping problem

my brother used to have nightmares, walking around and moaning and yelling. he woke me up once, so i smacked him, told him if he did it again id put his nuts in a vice and....well, at least he didnt yell anymore when he had em 🙂

I get so tired, until I turn the tv / music off / stop reading and try to sleep. Then I'm wide awake and have to force myself to sleep. spend about the first 6 hours of the day waking up, then the last 6 winding down. IS PISSING ME OFF!

Anxiety / depression / stress to blame here.

I have Restless Leg Syndrome which I hear is very common. But as for your nightmares, if they're as bad as they sound i'd go and see someone about it, sounds like you have some demons to exorcise...
