Anyone here have sleep apnea?

Any 'over the counter' stuff work? Any tricks or anything else that worked? Do tell please. . .

I'd like to avoid all the hoo haa if I could find something simple that'd cease it.

I don't think it ever goes away. I've got a friend who has it bad and has to use one of the machines. I think my aunt has it too.

Edit: Oh yeah if you're overweight, losing weight helps.

Can I get one of those machines without alot of doctor stuff?

Sleep apnea is a great way to go. No pain from diseases eating up your body and no old age making you mentally deficient, just passing away in your sleep. 🙂 It is second best only to hugging a grenade to your bosom and letting go of the spoon. 😛

I have it, and let me tell you how much it sucks. I haven't had a good night's sleep in a longgggg time, and I'm only 19. I also regularly wake myself up when i stop breathing...scary sh!t. I haven't tried anything other than changing my sleeping position, though, and that surely hasn't worked. I'm pretty hesitant to get a machine, but that seems like the best solution. My dad had surgery which didn't work, so I dont even plan on going that route.

my Dad has it pretty bad. He got one of the machines after his doctor sent him to a sleep study.

I think I might have it a little as well. Ive woke up several times over the past few months, not being able to breath good. If it doesn't stop I plan to see a doctor about it.
