I have one, but I haven't put the time into it. I can get a drone going, but I can't circular breathe. I recommend a Digeridrew didg. They're made out of PVC, and are nearly indestructible. They make a good travel instrument, and aren't expensive...

Don't see a link to where to buy anything on that myspace page.

I didn't see one either. I bought mine from him in person. You could contact him and see what he has to say. I think I payed about $50 for mine. He'll do one in any key you like. I picked D so it would go well with Irish music.

Either watch the whole thing or take it to 3:20 when he plays bass drum, guitar, and didge all at the same time.

i wanted to see him this summer at the NorVA but my bro backed out...and i hate doing shit like that alone. he's a great artist and i love his stuff, such an easy groove to get into and chill with

Negative. Drones make the best music. All the notes? Even a sitar doesn't play all of them, and that has more than the western scale ;^)

I meant all the notes in the octave. Obviously no instrument can play all the octaves.

But I hate most "traditional" music. Music has come so far since people started banging rocks together, yet traditional musicians want to whack a stick on a sheepskin and go "look at me, I'm Yo-Yo Ma!"

BTW, sitars make every song they're in worse.

There's an infinite amount of notes in an octave. Western notation only uses 12 ;^) Also, I'm not sure what bodhran players have to do with this discussion, and how percussion relates to cello :^D

Sitar makes everything better :^P

I can run down and ask the Aborginal man panhandling at the Opera House and ask him, then report back to you.
