Thinking of getting a syrian hamster once I move into my new house, want to get a very young one so that I can condition it from a very young age. However, I'm concerned about its feeding times... on weekdays I leave the house for work at around 8:30-9:00am and only come back home at around 9:30pm onwards.

If I leave it with enough food in the morning, then feed again at night, would it be good for the little fella? Any other tips/advice to give?

I always used to just leave the food bowl full.

Problem with hampsters is their short life span.🙁
