Anyone here have experience with Swiss Airlines?

I just called a few minutes ago to inquire how much it would be to upgrade our tickets to first class, as i've done many times in the past.

The lady was downright rude and sounded shocked that I would even ask such a thing. Never received a response like that from any other airlines before, so i'm kinda taken back a little.

Should i not be looking forward to this flight?

I haven't flown them in many years. Last time I did, however, I was quite satisfied. Decent food in coach, and it is the only longhaul coach trip I've ever enjoined. Nowadays I fly Business or First when leaving the US...

I believe they are being bought by Lufthansa. You probably just got a bad agent.

Lufthansa already owns them.

Back in the day they were pretty good. On one on the flights, the pilot pulled off what I'm sure was the textbook landing.

The old Swissair went down the drain quite dramatically in 2001, Swiss International Airlines is the successor owned by Lufthansa. Swiss claims to be a quality airline, too, but I've never been in one of its planes so I can't judge it. However it's inacceptable that the hotline was rude because of this kind of request, in my opinion.
