I have 2 Bettas in a divider tank, but I would like to put a plant in there for them. I've heard that they like to rest on plant leaves, but I have not idea what would be ideal. The tank is only 1 gallon, so it couldn't be anything huge.

Thanks for the tips.

Sword plants or banana plants. Sword plants can be pretty big for 1 gallon. Actually 2 bettas in 1 gallon is pretty tight as it is....you really should have 1 fish/gallon. Make sure you change the water every week or so.

PS - bettas are not herbivores.

bettas dont need much...they dont even need oxygen in the water. so i think any kind of water-plant will be okay.

Anything that your local fish store sells for tropical freshwater tanks should be fine.

I have a betta in a hevilly planted tank and have never seen him on any of the plants. He does however seem to like to swim around the plants.

How big is your tank and how many watts of light to you have. This is the jey to what plants you can keep alive.
