newegg has this mobo on it's refurb section and i am tempted to buy it. i'm just looking for some reviews online, but i can't really find anything in english. but i would rather have real user testimonials anyway :) and also... how is the kt4v different from the kt4 ultra? so far, i can see the onboard audio & lan is different... and the ultra has onboard serial ata & firewire connectors. did i miss anything else?

Its a KT400 chipset. Different board # 6712. It has an integrated NIC. 6 channel sound too. Its a fine board. I have one. Tweaked out, it is pretty fast too. It does the tbred 333 cpus. I would use good PC2700 ram for it. Overall it is a great board that is very stable. At least for me it was.

PS: forget refurb'ed boards. Just get a new one. They are very reasonably priced.

I didn't need to, but I always flash to the newest BIOS for the added features. Like I said, that board is very nice. Maybe some people got a bad board. It does happen. I would buy another in an instant.

I like mine just fine, never had any probs..like Iron Woode I always flash to the lates official bios. I have had no problems moving large ISO images around and burning them.

I've been using this board for couple months.

So far the only complain is the CPU voltage. For some reasons my tbred can only get as high as 1.60v instead of all those crazy high voltage.

Right now I'm running 10x166=1666(2000+) via 1.55v. So far so good.
