while on the subject of T-Mobile, anyone have T-Mobile in the Orange County, CA area? I'm wondering about real-world system performance and call quality. Thanks! ;)

I'm thinking of switching from Spint for all the extra minutes you can get with T-Mobile...

If want to stay with Sprint, call customer service and ask for the retention department. Tell them how there are other services out there that are offering more and you'd like to stay with Sprint, but the other deals are tempting. Usually they'll cut you a good deal on a retention plan. I called last night and they gave me a $75 credit to buy a new phone.

Team Mobile in OC is "okay". Expect it to get a lot worse as you head toward the coastline though...

Ah okay, cool thanks for the info guys...

Another Q: what cell towers does T-Mobile use? Don't they share towers with Verizon ot AT&T out here on the West Coast? I remember hearing that somewhere....

Okay, one last question: can you text message people with different cell service providers? If I have a T-Mobile phone, can I text message someone with a Cingular or Verizon phone, and vice versa? Thanks! :D

Yes you can. You just send it like you would text msg anyone else.
