Anyone here have a Slot loading Pioneer SCSI DVD Drive

I have an old SCSI DVD-305 and its rev 1.0 i'm wondering if anyone has a newer firmware that adds support for +R.
 
If the book type is set properly w/ +R it will read them (I got rid of mine a few years ago but it did work w/ 4x DVD+R media w/ the book type set to dvd rom)
