Anyone here have a Hot Wheels (or other model car) collection?

Just curious if there's anyone else interested in this hobby. I've recently become interested in them... but more specifically, Oldsmobile 442's. I'm slowly building a collection of model 442's, not just limited to Hot Wheels brand cars.
For those of you who do collect, if you buy them in the packaging, do you leave them in the packaging? Or remove them for display?

I still have my old collection from when I was a kid tucked away in my parent's attic. It's been awhile since I've seen the cars as I don't look at them when I visit but the few times I've seen them I get a little nostalgic. I haven't had the heart to give them to my kids because they would end up losing them all if they even played with them to begin with.

I have a few Olds 442's around... I was collecting them (and camaros) a few years ago, probably have 5-6 now. Most are hardtops but I have a few convertables as well. I can take a pic and post if I find them... got me wondering what I did with them! Oh, I take them out of the packaging, I collect them because I like the cars, not for a money making hobby.

I usually check out the latest collections when I visit walmart and such but the best ones I found via ebay.

I collect the big 1:18 scale diecast cars. I don't collect them for monetary value, so I get rid of the packaging and put them on display.

they were just toys for me, they're all scratched up and chipped now because i would play with them so much. i had a lot tho... maybe like 50 or so... loved to play cops and robbers with those heh

There was nothing like making a dirt track outside and driving them all around having adventures that only a kid could dream up. Most of mine are in great condition but a few are a little worn.

I just had to go look and find my collection couldn't remember where I Stashed it. Have it in one of those blue hotwheels binder cases that has 4 compartments, i think 48cars... almost filled. Most of them are pretty old, early 80's, have a bunch of Ferrari 308's that I used to collect.

I My newest ones are the old's and the camaros. I have 2 convertible olds. On my desk I have a Camaro Promo and a 1:18? Cutlass conv (1970) and a monopoly camaro w/ the metal game piece.

If anyone has any 442's or Toronado's or plain Cutlasses and would be willing to sell them, take some pictures and PM me =)
