Anyone here have a battery affected by the Dell recall?

If you've received your replacement battery did you end up shipping your old battery back or did yo keep it?

Yup. Dropped the battery in the box, put on the label, dropped it in the mailbox. Pretty painless process.

Thank you. That is exactly what I am asking. I have my old battery, the box and the shipping label. I know how to put it all together. I was just wondering how many people are keeping their old batteries and using them as spares ...

I sent mine back because it was so worn out as to be almost useless, and the postpaid mailer was a painless way to recycle it. I'm sure they won't beat you up for it, though, so if yours is still functional, I'd keep it.
