Anyone here has a checking account with Chase bank?

I have a coupon from Chase bank that will give me $75 to open a checking account with direct deposit.

If you have business with Chase bank, how was your experience? Good/bad/ugly? Disscuss.

You have to keep the account for 6 months to get that $75 reward. I'd say it's worth it. Be sure to investigate any closing fees though.

My checking account has never been charged for any fees or whatnot. They'll try to get you to start a savings account too, but it has a minimum balance of $300 or you'll get fees. Just get the checking account and you'll be fine. Just in case, make sure you ask the bank teller if there are any minimum balance fees or other fees you should know about.

Hold out for 6 months and then close the account. Free $75 😛

Just do what Eeezee said, but be *sure* to read the fine print.

I use Chase because it's one of the more convenient banks in NYC (lots of ATMs and branches).

No real complaints here. Their online banking site is fantastic.

I've used Chase free basic checking account for three years. My only complaint is that they never staff enough tellers and the tellers are slow because of all the crap they have to do for each transaction. I've had to wait 10 minutes in line, with no one in front of me, many times.
