I was just wondering...would also like to hear how it went for those who did. I am 19 and have been engaged for about 7 months now. Been living with my fiance close to a year. She is 20, btw.

My sister got married at 20. She's doing fine. I don't know what you're looking for though. They didn't live together before hand, and weren't engaged as long as you were (only like 4 months) before they got married.

My mother and foather were married at 18. Actually, my mother was 17 (2 weeks before her birthday) and had to get perental consent.

Still together after a little over 25 years.

My mom was engaged at 18, married at twenty, and my dad was twenty-one. Been married 25 years, this upcoming June, quite happily.

This is a computer forum... in binary, they're both over 10,000. They're all good to go!

Chris: Well, at least the statistics aren't really favoring anyone right now.

I think the reason I feel good about it is my fiance and I are in perfect harmony on all major issues. We both are penny pinchers and are happy staying at home when we need to. Our overall goals in life are similar, and she is my best friend. I think the finances are the big one. Sometimes the women just decide they need more money and leave...

Yes but the statistics are worse off for marriages between very young people. This ain't the 60's anymore where high school sweethearts marry and die old together. No offense....just the odds are stacked high against you. I'm glad you found someone you love and hope it works out for you

My best friend got married at 20, 10 years later him and his wife still seem to be doing pretty good

I have another cousin who got married at 18 and he's still happy with his marriage and they're in their 40's now

I got married at 25 and I'm 30 now and very satisfied. I think its true what they say about marriage its about sacrifice, you constantly have to give. Thats probably why these actors and other stars can't make a marriage work, they're used to having things their way all the time.

I have not but it seems all of my friends are getting engaged. i am just going to be turning 20 this month...some of my friends are younger than myself! They said they are planning "long engagements". I think that is the dumbist idea but, oh well..../ "they are in love"

I was engaged and married at 18 (we were both 18). It failed. I noticed a big change in her at 21. The majority (not all) of marriages in the teens fail.

I am now in my 30's and know a couple that knew eachother for 1 month when they were 17 and they got married and are still one of the tightest couples I have seen 20 years later.

Odds are against you guys but don't let odds be your deciding factor. Over half of ALL marriages end in divorce. If you were an odds player, you would never get married.

I got married at 19 (both of us). 3 years later we had a baby that died, and then she commited suicide a year later. I don't think this had anything to do with our ages.

Moved in with someone else a couple years later, we've been together 25 years. We might get married someday, if we get around to it.

Congrats on your engagement and don't listen to the idiots. If you're young, they'll say that's the problem. If you're older, then it'll be something else. People love to predict doom.
