I'm very seriously considering a 10 day vacation to Turkey (from the US) in November. How's the weather there in November? Can you recommend any cool things to see or do in the big cities? Any info you could give me would be great. Your country looks pretty cool. :)

I am not from there but what a great place to visit. Istanbul would be on the top of my list a.k.a Constantinople, Byzantium etc. the history there is extremely interesting. You could probably spend months there exploring it all, and still not get past the surface.

Merhaba means Hello in Turkish.

I lived in Turkey for 2 years.

Definitely go see the Med, and see the Castle in the Sea and the Castle by the Sea, and go see a place called Heaven and Hell. Turkey is a very beautiful land.

I m from turkey, istanbul specifically.
Just get a trourist guide for the sights, other than that make sure to check out the bazars they are awesome. You can get all kinds of stuff for very little money, the bargaining in particular is pretty exciting, hehe.

There are thousands of good restaurants, so prepare to gain some serious weight,
everyrime I visit my relatives I come back with couple of kilos extra.

Facyo (close to sariyer)
and check out the area around the pier on both sides, they have delicious fish specialities.
