I am passing by St. Louis around midnight and through MSN I found out it is the only 'real' restuarant that's open 24 hours (other than Steak n Shake). So I wanna know is it a decent restaurant for a late late late night meal.

I went to SLUH.

We ate there all the time (the only reason its still open is cause my highschool was so close).

It rocks.

Double cheeseburger=yum. One of the best in Stl.

The slinger is good if you want to eat yourself to death, too. You aren't a man until you finish one. It was almost a graduation requirement at SLUH.

Edit: It kicks the sh!t out of S&S, in both price and goodness and service. Its a great place. I love it.

never been, ut how was your trip through KC?

oh crap, almost forgot to PM you, oh well, here goes,

I guess it couldn't be a worst time to head up to KC: as I was driving on N-71, a HUGE black cloud is right in front of me, and I witnessed the absolutely most stunting, awesome chain lightning in my life. I mean, the sky literally tore up. Lightning didn't strike downwards as the typical ones, it strikes SIDEWAYS... I doubt my $6.99 Walmart camera capture any of them but I did take some picture.

so on to KC, rain was POURING like the Niagras, flooding was everywhere and I was glad I never lower my car. I finally got to Oklahoma Joe after exiting on 39 st. I passed through some not-so-nice area but when I got to the Westport area, it was all good. After a quick fix at OK Joe I head on to Johnny Dare's. Rain stopped, so I was able to walk around that area. I like that block, all the bars and nice restuarants and stuff. But J Dare's was PACKED so I ended up in Kelly's for a Guiness and left. J Dare's was a bit too.. ur... "white" for me anyways. oh, about those Pork Sandwiches in OK Joe, I've never tried "southern" style Pork before so it was a new experience; it was a bit on the dry side but was very flavorful.

thanks man, I didn't want to drive all the way to STL to have S&S anyways...
so other than the Slinger and Double C-Burger, anything else is a "must have"? like milk shake or fries or appertizer of some sort?
