Seriously, who's heard of Rochester, MN unless you live there :p

Isn't the Mayo Clinic near there? I imagine a lot of people have heard of that :)

i lived in Rochester Minnesota for three years

funny story..

we had a surgeon from japan show up late at the mayo clinic ..his travel agent in japan had booked him a flight to rochester, N.Y.!

apparently the cab drivers in rochester (n.y.) are use to people asking for cab rides to the mayo clinic from the airport!!

for a town of 50,000 - remarkably pleasant place to live..lots of decent shopping, high income city (half work for the mayo clinic - half work for IBM)

some decent restaurants, for the big city fix - hour and a half drive to minneapolis..45 minutes airplane flight to chicago

rochester has numerous flights to chicago daily (jet)

low crime

lots of snow

lots of bugs in the summer

More like best in the world. Lots of celebrities and presidents go to Mayo. I know Regan and Bush 1 used to go there on a regular basis. I went to Rochester Community College for a few years and one day driving into town I saw over 20 cop cars driving around. Later that day I found out that Bush had been in town for a checkup at Mayo.
