Ok, i'm going to be moving to Orlando in January, but my roomates to be are moving down in 2 weeks, and due to their infinite slacking off, we still do not have an apt. So if anyone lives down that a way, could you tell me how much i should expect to pay for a nice 3 bedroom, and how hard jobs will be to find, etc. etc.?? does anyone know how i can compare cost of living? or a good way to guage it? thanks for any help you guys can give, i need it right about now

i'm from orlando, but in all honesty, you can't expect us to just be able to tell you approx apt rental rates. orlando is a big town and it definitely depends on where you plan on living - by ucf, downtown, winter park, altamonte, oviedo, where? and where are you moving from - cuz that would be very useful in telling you cost of living increases and such, if any. orlando is not too super expensive unless you want to go down to disney area and such - then it can get quite expensive. and if you intend on drinking downtown, it can be pretty expensive as well. give us a lil more info on where you plan to be moving, what you plan to be doing, etc and we can help you more.

so i'm gonna assume your friend is going to rollins, ucf or fullsail judging by winter park area.
rent in the area can be extremely high, but doesn't have to be. there are some very swank areas of winter park, on the chain of lakes and such, but as long as you stay away from those areas to live in, you should be fine. there are multiple large apt complexes along 436 in winter park and casselberry, all of which would be fine for any of those schools, and most of them are pretty reasonably priced. there are also some houses and apts for rent in winter park/orlando behind and around the fashion square mall off of highway 50, but those will probably be a bit more in rent than the others. as far as around ucf and full sail, there are a ton of student housing developments and also plenty of neighborhoods which im sure will have some houses for rent, just drive down university blvd and look - also check out north and south on alafaya tr.

if you have any specific questions, either email or pm me, i can tell you some good hang outs and such if you're up for it, or whatever you might want to know....also talk to psychoandy, i know he's from the orlando area as well.
