anyone here from/ever lived in Louisville?

I have an internship with GE next summer in Louisville, and was wondering if anyone here had any opinions/advice about the city in general. What's it like? Do/did you enjoy living there?

Nice place and very affordable. Lived there for one summer in the south end of town near Bullitt county. Still have kin folk in the area and visited there a little over four months ago.

Great outdoor life, especially if you are into hunting or fishing. Fort Knox isn't far and they have some good deer hunts. Taylorsville Lake is also closeby.

The nightlife offers quite a bit with lots of friendly people. Depends upon where you go. I always had a blast in the area out off Preston Highway not far from the Ford plant. There are some decent places downtown too.

University of Louisville "should" undoubtedly make some noise again in college basketball now that Rick Pitino is there. On the other hand, UofL football hasn't lived up to its preseason hype.
