Some of you may remember awhile back when I made a post about my step dad and the brain tumor that is slowly taking his life. And how his son/sons are trying to steal EVERYTHING that he and my mother have. They are taking advantage of his mental incapacity to get his to sign papers that basically give THEM everything that the two of them owned JOINTLY! I just found out today that they have emptied out his and my mothers joint savings account, cashed out their CD's and ...well the list of things they scumbags are trying to do is ENDLESS!

The main character in this is my step brother Doug who lives is Anchorage and who is BTW a ex con... What is he doing with the money he basically STOLE from my mother? He wants is to build a hanger for his airplane that he has stored down south of here! (Not that HE doesn't already HAVE lots of money to begin with... HOW he GOT this money is a whole other story. I'm SURE it wasn't gotten legally.

He owns a tanning booth in Anchorage. MAN there must be BIG BIG money in THAT up there, he owns, besides the air plane a BIG piece of property in Montana. He just built a nice dock for his airplane up there too.

Since his release from the joint (he served 6 months for interstate transportation of stolen property. A boat, a truck and I'm not sure what else they CAUGHT him with, but there was MUCH more they DIDN'T find out about. In fact I just learned tonight that my step dad flew up to Anchorage when this happened back in the 70's and with another "family member" dumped a sh!tload of other stolen property in a lake up there) this guy has ALWAYS had tons of stuff he couldn't have come by on the up and up. Also since his release he has been in trouble with the IRS for tax evasion, he has had stuff shipped to my moms address so he wouldn't have to pay taxes. He claims he lives at HER address so his car insurance is cheaper and he has Oregon plates on his car even though he LIVES in Alaska. Basically this guy gives scumbags a bad name.

About four years ago he went to Venezuela and "bought" him self a wife. She wanted to have 4 kids, to which he readily agreed. Well for some reason she hasn't been able to get pregnant. She went in to have tests put HE refused to go with her. Why? HE never WANTED KIDS, in fact it's a very good possibility that he has had a vasectomy but of course he never told her that... One day she asked him for $1.25 so she could get ice cream, he wouldn't give it to her. He gives her NO MONEY what so ever!

Anyway, THIS IS WAR! I want this guy to go DOWN! I'm sure there is dirt to be dug up on this guy. How and where to find it?

Now the other brother, the younger one I find out tonight is almost as bad. Right after my step father when into the hospital for the brain tumor they got a attorney to write up a trust basically giving his kids EVERYTHING, including what property my mother had before they were married! My mother has a LOT of antiques, all of which were hers before they ever met. What does it say in the trust they had written up? That ALL FURNITURE AND FURNISHINGS WITHOUT EXCEPTION including antiques go to his 3 kids.

Man, I'm so fvcking mad right now I can't think straight.

Now my mom who is 73 has to go to work just to make ends meet and pay the bills. She has never been all that strong or healthy and now this.

Some people don't deserve to draw breath....

sorry to hear about that, hope everything turns out ok.

It seems like it should be fairly easy to get a lawyer and contest those papers if your step dad signed them under those conditions. I guess I wouldn't really know though.

Find an attorney to contest all of those papers.

That, and notify the FBI or so that you have strong suspicions about him participating in a lot of illegal activities. If he does, they should be able to nail him if you can convince them to look into it.

Sorry to hear that, my grandmother's second husband's kids cheated her out of getting a share of his property, but nothing like this.

In most states the State Attorney General's office is good about taking on fraud like this, especially when it can get the AG some PR for when he/she runs for governor.

If the accounts and property is jointly owned dosen't your mother have a say in it? And to play devils advocate, they are his sons, what if he really wants them to have the stuff?

Well, all I can say is good luck on resisting the temptation to end them as they deserve.

He is not mentally competent!

Since all this happened his kids have repeatedly had paper drawn up and had him sign them. There was a pre existing will that split everything 5 ways between his kids and my sister and I, But No, they want EVERYTHING including what property my mother had before they were married which is bad enough. But they want it all NOW while my mother is still alive! She had been married to this guy over 30 years and apparently that means nothing to them.

BTW: Here is the original thread.

Brutuskend.

My parents went through the same thing with my Grandmother (they were exactly in your situation). If you want more information, PM me and I'll be glad to help in whatever way I can. I'll respond after I run some errands.

Believe me, it won't be pretty, and the relationship with your brothers won't be the same, but you will come out on top.
