Anyone here familiar with Ubid auction format? Is it Dutch?

Quick question for all the online auction-goers at there! Does Ubid employ Dutch auction rules? That is, if one bids $125 for an item (of which there are 5 total), and another bidder successfully bids $115, does bidder one pay the $125 or the $115? I asked Ubid via email, but they just copy and pasted from their FAQ, which is worthless.

Thanks for any insight! :)

I believe its a scam format, followed by an outrageous shipping charge format. Stay far far away....I have heard nothing but bad stories.....

I've heard this too. Some deals to be had, but usually not. You might win a 17" monitor for $10, only to have a $100 shipping charge apply. I've also heard people say they will shill bid to drive the price on auctions up from way-to-low levels.

Wtf are Dutch auction rules?? If you are the highest bidder at an auction around here with a bid of $125 you pay $125, no matter if the next person bidding on such an item offers $1 or $1M... (I am Dutch)

I'm pretty sure whatever price you bid at is the selling price.

I got the shaft at Ubid once, though. Bought a barebones system for a relative, never received it, emailed customer support and was told that the delivery was refused (but couldn't indicate when or by whom), so they refunded my money minus shipping and a hefty restocking fee. Caveat emptor.
