Anyone here ever use Danger Den blocks?

The Swiftech APogee 350 Drive (pump/block) combo is out of stock and no ETA so I;m looking at getting a block and pump seperate. I will probably get the MCP350 but am looking for block alternatievs.

I found a few reviews on this Danger Den http://www.petrastechshop.com/dadenmcun1.html and its fairly cheap. I was wondering if anyone here has used this before or what are other alternatives to the more expensive GTZ and Fuzion V2. the Fuzion V1 seems to be out of stock everywhere and I would like to see if I can keep the price down on the block.

Thanks. I'll be cooling a 3.4ghz Q6600 1.4875 V

whats your max budget? i felt the same way at first (try to cheap out on the block) and i purchased an apogee gt, but i upgraded to the new GTZ before even installing in my system.

i believe that if you're going to do it, do it right the first time around

the fuzionv2 and GTZ are the most popular and well rounded blocks out right now.

Guess you guys are right. I'll go for the GTZ, the mian reason I was truin to cheap out was because the Apogee 250 drive is a Apogee GT with a 350 pump on top, and its 89 shipped (but backordered)

So I was trying to get close to that price by going with seperate parts.

I just bought the Apogee GTZ. I will be using the Swiftech 350 pump (the quieter version) and the Swiftech dual 120 rad with built in reservoir all with 3/8 tubing with Distilled H2O and Hydrx addditive.

Forget the Hydrx......just distilled water with some PT Nuke is all you need. Absolutely no need for additives like Hydrx. It will actually cost you a few degrees in temp.....nothing cools better than plain distilled water, except some esoteric coolants by 3M, I believe, that cost as much as a good used car per liter.

Interesting Beanie46. I heard about that Nuke stuff but didn't bother to look at it. I'll check it out right now. Mian reason I got Hydrx is for the corrosion and algae protection.

PT Nuke must be some HARDCORE shit, it only says to add 1 drop per liter 😕

The swiftech was 2oz per liter. Damn, I didn't want the green color from the Hydrx but figured it was the only thing to do since I was suggested that by a few people and read about it on forums.

Next time I'll try PT Nuke. Thanks beanie. SO is this Swiftech Hydrx not a good idea to use? or is it fine for a while?

i will also be using a silver killcoil,

it is a replacement/alternative to PT Nuke. it kills algae and bacteria in your loop and supposedly is reusable forever
