Per subject... Looking for a "gadget hot" to keep cool during extended periods outside on hot summer days...

Anyone have any recommendations?
 
I have a foreign legion style hat that I wear for golf on really hot days. It's got the flaps that hang down to protect the back of the neck and it's absorbant to be soaked in water to cool by condensation. Put it on and I instantly feel 20 degrees cooler. I'd stack it up against any lame fan or high tech hat.
