I was wondering if you thought it was worth it or not.

Yea, i heard they spammed WHT a few months back too. The thing is, they make some beautiful sites for very little money.

That sucks, yes their prices are very competitive but my main concern would be ... originality (or whatever it is I'm trying to think of).

I wouldn't want to pay a bargain price of $29 for a hosting template which has already been sold 50 times unless it's a GREAT template.

Well their website says how many each of them were purchased (who knows if its right though). All i know is comparable designs from other companies can range over $1000.

I asked a friend of mine who does site auditing for a living and he says that those sites/templates would be graded poorly. I asked because I had come to the same conclusion, but I know a lot less about it than he does. But, as even he stated, for that much money, you can't really expect a professionally done wireframe.

I think the money would be better spent taking a few minutes to flesh out on paper what you want, then coding it.

Have you found a template yet?

Any other websites with affordable templates?

I bought a template (#41801) that costs 120$ and had multiple errors and serious database issues... I was in a hury (thats why I needed to buy a template) and their respond from live chat was "we will get back to you soon" if i open a submition ticket. They where answering after 2 days everytime we talked about it via email with the "technicians".

The result was to sit and fix all the issues by myself and after 2 weeks they ask me to give them access to my server in order to fix it... Which I didnt of course. Their official answer when I told them i would never buy from them a template (explaining why) was that I should check the millions of positive feedbacks they had, in order to convince me that I was wrong about them!! :D

I've submited also the same "testimonial" and of course they didnt published it ;)

I wouldnt recomend to spend any penny on those guys!:thumbsdown::thumbsdown:
If you need any template find someone to design it for you or you can search throughout the internet Im sure you'll find better themes for your websites with the same or a little higher cost..

Won't someone think of the corpses? Please don't necro.:(

I have, a few times. But I never use it out of the box. I heavily modify them until they look and act nothing like the original. It saves time in some cases.

wow this is an old thread.

I always wondered how good their templates were. I almost bought one from them too.
