They're not blues... Blues influenced maybe.

Seen them live once, and listened to their stuff a lot. It's pretty good.

Yes, they are a blues-rock band.

They have more bluesy type songs too.

They even make a french version of their albums.
 
They are one of the best live bands I've seen. I saw them back in the days of 500 Pounds in a small college bar. They blew the power for the entire bar halfway through their set. Gordie actually calmed the crowd down, and then proceded to play an accoustic guitar for 45 minutes while they fixed the power. The room was lit only by the emergency lights. Then the lights came back on and they fininshed their regular set. Very cool night!

Since then, I make it a point to never miss them when they are nearby... Their version of Oh Canada easily beats Hendrix's Star Spangled Banner as a show closer!
