Anyone here ever done any commercials?

I've been toying with the idea of going out for a few commercial auditions (what the hell I might actually get something) and I'm just curious if anyone on ATOT has been down that route.

I've also heard that people with unusual looks or qualities have a better chance of getting picked and since I'm about as unusual as they come I should be a shoe in. Are there any agents out there who can give me a little guidance about going for commercials and the types of people in demand?

i'd assume they want to pick someone unique to endorse their product. go in with a clown hat and a fake nose.

Besides the usual headshot and resume', you might want to record a voice demo. Donna Baldwin Talent has some good examples.

if you find out, lemme know. i've had quite a few people tell me i should be a model and stuff, so if you know where the hookup is at for commercial auditions or whatever, let me know, cause i would try it myself too 🙂

I have appeared in one commerical, but it was only for a small local retail athletic store that my roommate manages. There wasn't any auditioning to speak of.

I've done them for work (being the fake "This company fixed all my problems and now I'm happy as can be!"). Just local commercials though. Done 3 of them.

Dunno...I was paid my salary. My boss came up and asked "you want to be in our commercial?" So I said "Sure!"
