Anyone here ever buy razor blades off ebay?

The other day someone told me they got 64 M3power cartridges off ebay for less than $60 shipped. I was like 'whoa, you can do that???' Seems like a damn good deal considering retail 8 packs go for $21 (I swear Gillette makes a KILLING on these stupid blades!) I'd thought about doing this earlier but never figured out how to get a good deal on bulk cartridges. I checked eBay and there are LOTS of auctions for Gillette blades. Anyone have any experience buying these online?

I don't know what jewelry store you people are buying your razors at... but they're like $5 for a 4 pack at Dominicks...

Even at Walmart I've seen them for $1.50 apiece for the original Mach3... even more for Turbo, and I assume more for M3Power. I gotta check out eBay.

Why would anyone buy the M3 power razors? First of all, Mach 3 and Mach 3 turbo razors both fit the M3 power blade (if that weird shaking action does it for you). The M3 razors offer nothing different than the Mach 3 turbo blades except for a higher price, both blades are lubricated and they both have aloe.

That being said I got tired of mach 3. The mach 3 is a little bit nicer but it can't beat a 10 pack of schick st razors for the sheer fact that they are cheap.

something can be had for next to nothing if the their is no demand for it and that it's not rare :)

Why do you people go through so many? My Mach3's still on it's original blade after months of use...granted, I don't grow hair very quickly, but a 60 pack would probably last me the rest of my life...

I bought 48 Mach3 Turbo blades from eBay for about $52 shipped...not a bad deal considering how much they cost retail...that amount of blades will probably last me 18 months...

same here. I usually go through one blade every 2-3 months.

I only shave my face twice a month, though (once a month during the winter if it's really cold out ;) )

i bought gilette mach 3 (non turbo) ones about 2 years back.

they work fine. arent' as sharp as the ones i bought from CVS before that and iddn't last as long. my guess is they're factory rejects that people somehow get real cheap...

in all honesty works out about the same long run, cause these don't last as long but they're cheap, while the ones that last longer are pricier.

oh. and the pricier ones don't cut you as much and are a more comfy shave cause they're sharper.

My Costco only sells Mach3 Turbos, and they're $27 for 16 blades. :(

They're all brand name, NIB razor blades.

the cheap price gets me to thinking, what prevents a manufacturing plant in say, China, from making fake blades and selling them in the states on ebay? Is there a sure fire way to make sure the blades are genuine blades?

I usually go through a blade in about 1-2 weeks. Shave every 1-2 days. That's during the school year though. During the summer I often find myself not shaving for 4-5 days.

I'll second for the Costco but don't know what B&M is.

And there is no difference in the blades between the 3 Mach series.

B&M = Brick and Mortar (as opposed to online).

Kind of off the main subject, but does anyone have ideas on how to make blades last longer?
