there is one in my town. we have gone with friends that are dealers before

you're not gonna get ripped off near so bad as you would at the lot after the dealer has picked up the car

I went to one once, but you have to have a resale number to buy from them. I didn't. A friend was a dealer and I went along to drive a car back to the lot.

Some good deals, but there's ZERO recourse if you don't like what you got. At least with a dealer, you can drive it and check it out and such. Plus smog crap has already been taken care of when you buy from a dealer. You're paying for his time doing the paperwork, smog, and inventorying several cars for you to check out and drive before you decide on one.

I went to one last summer, and I was amazed how much the dealers make. Your going to save at least 15 - 20% on most cars.

Sure, I have been to a lot of them. My uncle deals in used cars as a side business. You get great deals. My uncle purchases cars that have some minimal damage, repairs them, and resells them for 200% more.

If you can go with someone I would definately recommend it!
