Anyone here domesticated enough to know about food sealers?

I'm interested in getting one, but I have seen them in the hundreds, and then as cheap as 2.99 for a Eurosealer on Ebay.

I'm eyeing out a black and decker that goes in the 40.s

Anyone here not too young to give any advice?

BTW, the main reason I want one, is cuz of the price of lettuce going sky high. It's way cheaper to buy bulk packages of premixed salad, and then divide and seal.

I'm on a rabbit diet right now, trying to get in shape for summer mountain biking.

my parents have one of those and LOVE it. they have the black and decker...not sure of what model but the cost was around $100. it works really well. 🙂

Personally, I'd prefer to eat it fresh as possible rather than bagged despite the price, which is why, I guess, I can't offer any personal experiences with sealers although strictly speaking I'm domesticated enough to know about then as in yes they exist. I have always thought they are just hype, another gadget that looks good on tv but would get pretty old fast at home. I could be wrong.

hehehhee....serious...when i have stuff....i use a freezer bag and suck the air out of it...like food in...then close all of it but a little corner and then suck the air out.... =D
