Anyone here collect comic books, magazines or other paper periodicals?

I have a comic book and magazine collection that's numbering into the thousands, I would like to find a way to store everything for long term use and easily be able to browse through the collection when needed. I currently have a ton of boxes that I'm using, but I'd like to replace those with something a little more elegant. I'm thinking of maybe looking for one of those office file cabinets (the ones that stand about 4-5 feet high with the 3 large drawers) and convert it for comics and mags.

What do you guys use for comic book storage?

the long cardboard boxes are your best bet really. When I collected comics like 10 years ago, that's what I used. I just had dividers in there to seperate the different series. Makes it easier to find what you need. But in todays age, it would be cool to have a bar code scanner and have like an access database or something and scan the barcode to get the info and keep an electronic file of everything you have.
