Anyone here cause of WoW down time?

better to have it down when i am at work then have it down in the evening when i am able to play. :thumbsup:
 
ok *zips up flame-redartent suit* am I the only one who see taking ALL servers down for 4 hours a bit excessive? couldnt we stagger this?

Agreed, it seems they should of just kept the servers down for maintenace 😛

Yes, very good. But is it just me or is it hard to get info on what they actually are doing?

IE: Yesterday they took down the servers for an hour to fix the instance issue, all i know is -- its still an issue 😛

very much still an issue, not to mention instant respawns in a few areas......not that I'm complaining 🙂
 
Blizzard is still without a doubt the best game company out there. This is just a new venture for them and I think they surpassed their expectations on the amount of servers needed for all these customers and such.
 
I'm still having problems with the game freezing completely, or black screens. I always have to restart my PC. And I always come back into the game dead because some mob killed me while I sit in the game, unprotected, while I have to restart my PC.
Very annoying. Supposedly a heat issue, but I'm not so sure. ALOT of people are having this problem on the WoW forums.

You make a good point.

I have NEVER flat out crashed OTHER THAN when they are bringing the servers down, or the server crashs, so I can't relate.

Does anyone else think the latency bar is worthless?

I run on T-1 and it was reading 6k + latency last night, and no lag at all. It usually runs around 20~50ms and I hit frequent lag spikes [Attack, everything freezes, 5 seconds later you catch up to the server and you have shot something 10 times 😛]

Me either, I did 20-22 in under 2 hours in one of those spots 😛

Well my server was the last one to come back up I beleive, and for whatever reason all my options were set to default, cosmos reset to defaults, nothing in my macro bar.. wtf!?

I did this at the relics in darkshore [up north] it wasnt really instant spawn, but there were SO many of them and they were spread out PERFECTLY so i could ALWAYS pull just one, i just kept doing circles around the place, its so big by the time you get around they are all respawned
 
i dont really understand why they have to take down all servers at one time

or even all the servers in one zone

this suggests that there is DB sharing across all servers which is probably the root of all the problems to begin with

oh well i wont be able to play for a few more hours anyway
