I've got a really cool weekend coming up ahead. Can't wait. It's hopefully going to be lots of fun. The only problem is that I'm bored like hell tonight.

yes, I'm bored as hell.

stuck at work for another 3 hours and everyone else in my department left early :(

I don't have too much planned for the weekend, though. my friends are going to AC for the weekend, so I'm stuck here by myself since I'm working tonight + sunday. after work I'm hoping to climb my way up to level 40 in WoW, and I promised that I'd help out my sister and her boyfriend run Deadmines, Stockades, and some Darkshore instance that I've never been to on Saturday :)

I'm defrosting my jumbo chicken pot pie as we speak. CPP, it's what's for dinner. Busy weekend. Going to the school bookstore to get text for a summer course I'm taking. $630 + $70 for 3 units! Then OT at the office on Sunday. Oh yeah.

Do they have any better kde support then they used to?

I'm not sure what you mean by "better kde support", but I just installed KDE 3.3.2 from unstable and it seems to be running fine.

I was running Gentoo/Gnome on it before but Debian is better suited for laptops, IMO.

ok. cool to hear.

By the way....installed FreeBSD on my laptop, and it took 2 1/2 days to get kde 3.4 compliled on there. It basically installed everything except sound drivers. fun huh?

 Yeah, I know what that's like. I run Gentoo/KDE on my desktop and it took 7-8 hours to build KDE 3.4, IIRC.

How's FreeBSD running on your laptop? I was going to give it a go on mine but I wasn't sure if I'd be able to get ndiswrapper going (for the crappy built-in broadcom BCM4306 chipset :disgust:[/b]).

aside from the sound which I plan on getting solved in the next few days (nothing i love more then a challenge :) ) it's pretty decent. One thing I found out about freebsd which I was unaware of before. If you ever want to make changes to a user. Don't modify /etc/passwd or /etc/master.passwd or /etc/groups. Type "chpass <user>". Anything else just screws up user data. I was almost (almost) ready to reinstall everything when my main user (non-root) was screwed up. Thankfully a google on adduser saved my ass.
