My house got burglarized once and they just took all the electronics and my computer 3 years ago.

This morning at 6AM someone enter our house through the patio doors went to my sister's bedroom and just stand there and watch her. My sister scream so he just ran. Everyone in our house is really freaked out now so I'm gonna go look for a home security system tomorrow.

Yes I still try to find a tool that used to be in my toolbox and I don't have. Its funny how a Snap-On Socket set that you can break and get a new one can be depreciated by an insurance company. 🙁

Damn rat ba$tards. I got $.25 on the dollar replacement cost. 🙁:disgust:

Three or 4 times here.

I cannot count the number of times things from around the house have been stolen. The number is high, that's all I know.

I know the feeling, and it sucks. 🙁

When I lived in the city, on the third floor a guy came in through our window and stole our VCR... interestingly he had to move a $1200 stereo setup to get to it but he went for the VCR 😕

Four nights later I was sitting in the apartment reading, and I heard the door open. My roomate wasn't supposed to be home and I was a little on edge because of the recent burglary. I picked up my roomates longSWORD and crept quietly toward the door. A guy was creeping into my kitchen! I jumped out of the hallway and brandished my sword. He did a double take and freakin took off like a bat out of hell. i ran onto the porch and screamed into the alley "If you ever come back I'll cut your fvcking head off!!"

I locked the door from then on.....

We have big metal storm doors, so no. 🙂

Actually, about a month ago, we had someone try for a week to break in. Three times in one week (once was twice in one night), someone was trying to get in via the sliding glass door to my room (the only door on the house that doesn't have a big-ass security storm door on it). The police were notified and patrols were stepped up, which was cool. Apparently, that week, people who would start their cars in the morning to get them warmed up and who went back in the house to finish getting ready found that their car was no longer sitting in the driveway when they came back out to leave for work. I now sleep with my Kabar under my pillow and my Katana, nunchucks, escrimas (Philipino fighting sticks), throwing knife, and rifle next to my bed. 😀

The last night that it happened, I got out of bed, turned the lights on in my room and stepped outside with my Katana. Whoever it was left by the time I got outside and hasn't been back since. ::evil grin::

Yes, and it's one of the worst feeling in the world. You feel so violated. It's just an uncomfortable feeling that someone was inside and looking around your stuff. It took me a long time to feel comfortable in my own home again.

Last person who tried to break into my house met up with a VERY ugly scene:

2 big black dogs, very pissed off at being woken up at 0300, and me with a Mossberg 12g pump. He found himself trapped in the basement with 2 dogs outside the door, if he tried to open it, they went APESH!T. We called the cops for free pickup and delivery. He is lucky he was not armed, because I would have had to send his family a cleaning bill to get his blood off my carpet.

I got a knife like that, named it the Bear Ripper 😀

And no i've never been burglarized, but I have had money stolen from my wallet at the gym.

Not to be inconsiderate... but why?

Well after the burglary, when I came home, I would always look in the basement and all the closets to make sure no one was inside the house. And when the phone rang, I would wonder if it was the burglar checking up to see if anyone was home. With this burglary, I felt that they had been watching the home for a long time to get to know my families' routine.

It's just an uncomfortable feeling that you might have been watched for a long time and it took awhile for me to feel comfortable again.
