Anyone here an MS Access expert?

I'm trying to change the way that a certain database is opened - it's a multiuser database that worked fine in 97, but now has problems in O2k. I know the problem has to do with multiuser settings and file/record locking, but I'm not sure exactly how to go about changing it. I found an MSDN article that seems to apply, http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/odeopg/html/deovrpagelevellockingvsrecordlevellocking.asp, but can't quite translate it into english. :rolleyes;

Anyone know of a simple way for me to solve this problem? I'm not an Access guy . . .
