What kind of magic have you performed on the vBulletin boards?

I need modifications made...of course, I'll pay. 🙂

Be prepared to shell out some $$$

First $160 for a vBulletin owned license.

Techskins.com has done some impressive work, such as NexusPortals.net but custom vBulletin work starts at $1,000.00

For a cheaper solution go to webhostingtalk.com and search for vBulletin in the Related Offers and Requests forum.

You can find some vBulletin skins such as this for $25-ish.

Like I said be prepared to do your homework and spend hundreds (or thousands) of $$$

That doesn't even include web hosting costs 🙂

He is currently using IPB 1.3, IPB beta 2.0 and phpBB (or at least has easy access to all 3).

Hi RossMan. I have also purchased a vBulletin license to possibly use with one of the sites.

Yep, I'm aware that I'm going to have to do that...but that's the way it goes. I wish I didn't have to but if I don't invest anything I'll probably not get the functionality I need. I would imagine that a great number of customized sites out there required some money outlay.

You could try vBMechanic, though I don't really know much about them.

IMO, one possible way would be to find a hacker on vBulletin.org and contact them directly about paid modifications.

I don't pay enough attention to the mod/hacking community to make any suggestions of specific people though.

Thanks Ed.

I have contacted them both...vBmechanic seems to be missing in action (his site says he'll be back tomorrow though I've heard from others he hasn't been responding for quite awhile).

I have tried the vBulletin.org site too.

I'll keep after it!

Thanks.
