hah, educate me, what is the different between fraternal and identical?

Identical looks like you, shares dna makeup...fraternal was born the same time as you, but doesn't look the same.

Identical twins are two embyros formed from the same egg - at some point, the cells divided and developed identically. Fraternal twins are two eggs fertilized at the same time.

I'm gonna dedicate my 3333th post to Orsorum, who remembers more from bio than I do.

Taken over the summer between my freshman and sophomore year of high school. 😱 😛

I am an idenitical triplet... my one brother was born 28 years before me and the other 4 years after me... talk about a long pregnancy, lol.

The stats I've heard was about 1 in 88 births gave twins, and about 1 in 88 twins were identical... this wasn't research, though, just a sci-fi book with some research behind it.

My sister's best friend is a twin. However, one of them has spina bifida and the other is normal (in that respect).

I don't really know any other twins though.
