Anyone here a travel pharmacist? (or a pharmacist in general)

I've been to two travel clinics in the last few days about required immunizations before going to India.

I talked to one of my cousins today (who is also a travel doctor) and he recomends everything that the other clinics as well, but made mention of getting the vaccination for meningitis (specifically "Menomune"). He said it was one of the more important ones I should be getting.

Is this something I should make sure I get? I don't know what the area is like in terms of risk of exposure.

You have to consider Menomune for endemic regions of Africa, during local epidemics, and travel to saudi arabia for the hajj, according to my reference. You must consider Menomune when traveling to developing countries or areas of a country that are recongnized as having endemic or epidemic meningococcal disease. No matter if traveling briefly for less than 2 weeks to a long-term residence for more than 3 months.

I am a community pharmacist and filled a couple of prescriptions for menomune within the last few weeks. I suppose the patients are on a trip abroad.
