went to Gigabytes site & looked all over , no listing , thought i'd find it in the discontinued line, but nope (unless i am blind)

its a socket 7, 4 PCI's 3 ISA's
its got both a north & south bridge Intel chipset. and has both AT & ATX power interface with a jumper to change between the two

any ideas where to download a manual??
want to upgrade it for a friend, got a Pen 266 in it now.
runs SD & EDO, so a bit more SD will be a go ( talking to myself there...)

Are you sure its not a GA-586TX2?

I have one of those.

Edit: I just did a search and found the newest BIOS for the T2. Supports 400 k6-2. And the user manual. You can download both under support then choose manual or BIOS.

Oops. I forgot to add that it uses PC66 ram if you will use SDRAM.

It might work but I doubt it.

Under the new BIOS it has a link for cpu compatibility. It states k6-2 400 as max, but that is determined by board revision.
