Anyone heard news on the i9 Intel Core

I know that Intel did say i9 will be twice as fast as i7 ..

The i9 was rumored to be twice as fast as the i7. But, then in their marketing wisdom Intel named the 'twice as fast i9' the i7.

Ergo the i7 is twice as fast as the i7.

Seemed funny at the time.

i9 would have sounded more exclusive, special and been a better name to boot. 980X doesn't sound much better than a 975.
