Anyone heard anything about upcoming sound cards?

I'm just curious if there is any news right now about sound cards coming up anytime. I want to get an Audigy 2 early 2004 and I'm just trying to see if there is anything else I should keep my eye on.

He can't be curious and do some research? Maybe he should wait a day before he buys one, I'm sure thats a better alternative.

No, not necessarily. How fast do new sound cards come out? Certainly not as often as the video card manufacturers have been putting out their card. The technology will not change in that 4 month window. Furthermore, with Creative's track record with drivers, it may not be a bad idea to take a wait-and-see approach to ensure the drivers are a tad more robust before he buys it!
