Totally agree -- Beautiful Day always picks me up, heh. All That You Can't Leave Behind is a great album (with a few exceptions -- Wild Honey drives me up the wall) that I didn't like as much as I should've when it came out. If the new album's even half as good, it'll be worth picking up.

Just took a listen. I can't say it's very catchy. It's certainly different than anything you hear on the ATYCLB album. As U2 songs go, I'd only rate it a 5.

I hope the rest of the album is better.

the song is ok...
but i tend to dislike most songs on the first few listens. i love ATYCLB, Joshua Tree, and most of their popular songs. a lot of their earlier stuff i dont like as much. i cant wait to catch U2 on tour.

btw the REM album is ok. i dont really know much by them other than whats on their Greatest Hits album and popular songs. i'm going to seeing them at MSG in NYC in Nov! hopefully i like them more by that time.

i really like it, it reminds me onf songs like beautiful day, which i like more than their old stuff, i am anxious to hear the rest of the album.... i hope this doesnt turn into another modestmouse esque album
